Zilliz Cloud Now Available in AWS Europe (Ireland)
Zilliz Cloud is now available in AWS eu-west-1 (Ireland), expanding our European footprint and giving teams across Western Europe, the UK, and Ireland a local region for production vector search workloads.
Ireland is one of the most widely adopted AWS regions in the world — and for good reason. It's the European base for many of the largest global technology companies, a natural pairing for teams already running multi-region architectures alongside us-east-1, and a well-established jurisdiction for GDPR-compliant data processing. If you're already on AWS in eu-west-1, Zilliz Cloud now plugs directly into your existing infrastructure.
With this launch, European customers get:
Lower-latency vector search for production AI workloads. Teams previously routing to eu-central-1 (Frankfurt) or US regions now have a closer option for workloads serving Western Europe, the UK, and Ireland.
EU data residency where you need it. Between eu-west-1 (Ireland) and eu-central-1 (Frankfurt) on AWS — plus European regions on GCP and Azure — you can keep vector data within EU borders and choose the jurisdiction that fits your compliance requirements.
One-step migration from wherever you are today. Moving from Pinecone, Qdrant, Weaviate, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, OpenSearch, or self-hosted Milvus? Our migration service handles the heavy lifting, so switching to an EU-hosted deployment doesn't mean rebuilding your pipeline.
