Zilliz Cloud Now Available in 6 New Regions Across Japan and Europe
We are excited to announce that Zilliz Cloud is now available in six new regions, expanding our presence in Japan and Europe, bringing our global footprint to 28 regions across AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure.
The new regions include our first locations in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. And with Azure Japan East now live, Zilliz Cloud is available in Tokyo on all three major cloud providers. Here are the six new regions:
| Cloud region | Location | Deployment options |
|---|---|---|
AWS eu-west-2 | London, United Kingdom | Dedicated clusters and BYOC |
Google Cloud europe-west4 | Netherlands | Dedicated clusters and BYOC |
Google Cloud europe-west9 | Paris, France | BYOC only |
| Microsoft Azure Japan East | Tokyo, Japan | Dedicated clusters and BYOC |
Google Cloud asia-northeast1 | Tokyo, Japan | Dedicated clusters and BYOC |
AWS ap-southeast-7 | Thailand | BYOC only |
All six regions support BYOC (Bring Your Own Cloud), which lets you deploy Zilliz Cloud in your own cloud account. Four of them also support fully managed Dedicated clusters; Paris and Thailand are BYOC only.
Why This Expansion Matters
With this launch, teams get:
- Lower latency and cost. Run vector search in the same region as your applications and avoid cross-region data transfer fees.
- Data residency. Keep data in the UK, the EU, Japan, or Thailand when local regulations or internal policies require it.
- Your choice of cloud. Deploy on the provider your team already uses. In Tokyo, that now includes AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure.
28 Regions and Counting
Here's where you can run Zilliz Cloud today. New regions are in bold.
| Cloud provider | Regions | Locations |
|---|---|---|
| AWS | 13 | Oregon, N. Virginia, Ohio, Canada Central, Frankfurt, Ireland, London, Tokyo, Singapore, Seoul, Sydney; BYOC only: Hong Kong, Thailand |
| Google Cloud | 8 | Oregon, Virginia, Iowa, Frankfurt, Netherlands, Singapore, Tokyo; BYOC only: Paris |
| Microsoft Azure | 7 | East US, East US 2, Central US, Germany West Central, North Europe, Central India, Japan East |
