Meet the Speaker

Join us for a practical walkthrough of upgrading from Milvus 2.6 to 3.0, including key new features, preparation and implementation steps, post-upgrade verification, and critical rollback and risk considerations.

## About the Webinar

Upgrading a production vector database requires more than deploying a new image. Teams upgrading from an earlier version of Milvus to 3.0 need to understand what has changed, which features affect rollback, how to prepare their environment, and how to verify that data and workloads remain healthy throughout the process.

In this webinar, we’ll walk through the upgrade path from Milvus 2.6 to 3.0—from the release’s storage, indexing, query, and operational enhancements to pre-upgrade checks, implementation options, and post-upgrade validation. We’ll also examine critical risks, including BM25-specific upgrade paths and how adopting certain Milvus 3.0 features can narrow your rollback options.

## What You’ll Learn

- **Milvus 3.0 Upgrade Benefits** — Understand how the new release can reduce storage requirements, improve query performance, expand data-management capabilities, and simplify operations.
- **New Storage and Search Capabilities** — Explore Storage V3, new storage formats and indexes, native text deduplication, row-level TTL, nullable vectors, richer queries, and offline data access.
- **Upgrade Preparation and Implementation** — Learn how to check your Milvus and SDK versions, back up data, assess resource headroom, select an upgrade method, and validate the upgraded deployment.
- **Risk and Rollback Planning** — Identify feature-switch, BM25, compatibility, and rollback considerations that should be addressed before upgrading a production environment.
